Our Manton Wood site is home to a team of around 1,700 colleagues who produce sandwiches and wraps for top retailers like Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl. We offer a range of benefits, including a gym, restaurant with hot food, and a staff shop.
Job Role
We're seeking an NPD Buyer to source safe, commercially competitive, and great-tasting food in line with procurement strategies. As a key member of our team, you'll manage a small lead buying portfolio and work closely with Product Development teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead effective and accurate NPD sourcing on new raw materials, contributing ideas and information, and ensuring timely delivery of requirements to Product Development teams.
- Develop in-depth supplier knowledge of sourcing areas and avoid margin creep through product churn.
- Ensure products are sourced in alignment with Greencore Purchasing Excellence, procurement strategy, and objectives.
