Job Description

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estates Surveyor to lead its Estates Team in delivering key services to residents.

The successful candidate will have experience of mixed portfolios, maximising revenues and taking strategic decisions to drive growth and deliver results. They will also play a key role in the delivery of Council priorities and support the implementation of a Strategic Asset Management Plan.

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will work closely with stakeholders to engage and influence decision-makers, ensuring that the Council's property estate is managed effectively and efficiently.

About the Job
  • Lead an effective estate management and valuation service for the Council.
  • Specialise in property and strategic asset management, ensuring the growth of the real estate portfolio income.
  • Deliver key services to residents through a flexible hybrid working environment.

This role requires a high level of expertise in property issues, including buildings, investment assets, and land. You will be responsible for negotiating and managing relationships with external partners and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

About You
  • You will have advanced theoretical, practical, and procedural knowledge in relation to property issues.
  • You should have previous experience of successful property negotiations and be able to work at pace with enthusiasm and professionalism.

As a senior member of the Estates Team, you will contribute to the development of the Council's property strategy and play a key role in shaping the future of Tameside's property portfolio.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for career development.
