Job Title: Domestic Gas Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Gas Engineer to join our team in Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Perth regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical tasks, under contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the necessary paperwork and reports.
  • Perform reactive and planned commercial maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical tasks, as required under contract.
  • Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  • Verify that all certification is correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency tasks and utilize handheld technology effectively.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide clients with full out-of-hours cover and assist other team members when required or as directed by a Supervisor or Contract Manager.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted within the specified timescales.
  • Monitor visiting sub-contractors regarding the standard of work and Health and Safety, and issue appropriate Permits as required.
Requirements:
  • Domestic Gas certified – CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT as a minimum (with the potential to upskill to commercial).
  • Strong technical skills and extensive fault-finding experience.
  • Skilled in all aspects of domestic gas servicing and maintenance.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Requires Disclosure/Police checks.
