About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Technical Theatre Apprentice. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for supporting the construction, rehearsal, and presentation of live performances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly and configuration of technical systems, including sound, lighting, and video.
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Operate and maintain technical equipment, including stage machinery and scenery systems.
  • Monitor and operate systems or services relevant to your workplace.

About You

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a team. You should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude towards learning and work.

Requirements

No prior experience in theatre is necessary, but a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths is desirable. You will be supported to achieve these qualifications during the apprenticeship.

Training and Development

You will be enrolled on the Creative Industries Production Technician – Creative Venue Technician Pathway Level 3 Standard apprenticeship program. This will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the technical theatre industry.
