Role SummaryAdvanced Resource Managers are seeking an experienced Senior Human Factors Engineer to join their team at Devonport Royal Dockyard, contributing to the maintenance of the Royal Navy's Fleet of surface ships and nuclear submarines.
This role requires a strong understanding of human factors principles and practices, as well as significant experience working in high hazard industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering electrical services related engineering work packages.
- Managing technical deliverables, supervising designs, and preparing reports in support of Nuclear and Non-Nuclear related plant, facility, and equipment.
- Developing and disseminating theoretical knowledge, utilising Earned Value Management methodologies, and construction support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or equivalent, plus MSc in Occupational Psychology or Industrial Psychology.
- Registration as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors or British Psychological Society.
- Significant experience working in high hazard industries, such as nuclear, defence, or petrochemical sectors.
- Solid understanding of nuclear safety assessment principles and safety case production.
- Familiarity with HF qualitative and quantitative HRA techniques.
The estimated salary range for this role is £70-80 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
