About this role

We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and organized Postal Delivery Worker to join our team at the Edinburgh South East Delivery Office. As a Postie, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver mail and packages to customers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate a van and drive in a safe and responsible manner
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet delivery targets
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer queries
  • Work in all weather conditions and for long periods of time
  • Meet health and safety standards and follow company procedures

  • A competitive monthly salary equivalent to an hourly rate of £12
  • Overtime is paid at 1.25 x the normal hourly rate

Requirements

  • Have a strong sense of community and takes pride in what you do
  • Be happy walking for long periods and working outside in any weather
  • Have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Be organized, punctual and ready to deliver great customer service
