About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Kimberly-Clark. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for providing onsite IT infrastructure related support at Barrow Mill and helping us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of PCs, servers, and networking equipment for our Barrow Mill.
  • Coordinate small to medium-sized IT projects and contribute to large IT projects.
  • Provide operational support to computer systems and installed applications, resolve minor infrastructure problems, and escalate higher-impact issues.
  • Support the execution of infrastructure implementation projects.
  • Perform site IT administration support, request new employee accounts, provide IT on-boarding training, and procure IT infrastructure components.
  • Network Support – Install and support network equipment with assistance from the Network Operations team.
  • PC Support – Handle site-specific help desk problems that require an office/desk visit.
  • PC Deployment – Perform imaging on new PCs, including software installation.
  • Unified Communications support – Install and UC equipment with assistance from the UC Operations team.
  • Server Support/Maintenance – Plan and perform maintenance activities with assistance from the Server team as needed.
  • Manage multi-function device and printer fleet – Procure and provide basic support, escalate issues to the printer vendor.
  • Coordinate local Infrastructure vendors' work at site.
  • Provide education to users on KC available technologies and their proper use. Manage communication plans for new technologies implementations.
  • Maintain site ITS Business Continuity Plan.

Requirements

  • College-associated degree is preferable.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated skills described below.
  • Troubleshooting and solving basic computer issues, familiar with Windows XP/7/10, Windows 2003/2008 Server, SQL Server 2003/2008, Cisco Networking, LAN networks, Wireless networks, Firewalls, Microsoft Office products, Skype for Business, SharePoint, smartphones, and tablets (IOS, Android).
  • Ticketing system management for Incident and Request tracking (i.e., Service Now).
  • Carry out all work safely. Adhere to location security policies as well as Kimberly-Clark standards and procedures.
  • Carry out assigned tasks in a timely, diligent, and professional manner.
  • Establish proactive, confidence-inspiring client and support team relationships to ensure support, maintenance, and project work meet business goals.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
  • Communicate to local management and staff in non-technical terms.
  • Be able to work outside of business hours when required.
  • Be On-Call outside of business hours to support critical incidents.
