About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Kier Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cost forecasts for projects.
  • Analyse cost data to ensure accurate reporting and prepare client applications for payments and final accounts.
  • Manage subcontractors, including drafting subcontracts, raising orders, measuring and valuing works, processing payments, and preparing final accounts.
  • Issue documents and communications within contractual timescales and maximise margin on projects to support the achievement of budgeted profitability.
  • Develop and build relationships with clients and key subcontractors, keeping the Managing Quantity Surveyor and relevant Project Managers informed of all relevant commercial issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in preparing final accounts to specific deadlines and understanding how to prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Knowledge of how to interpret and collate financial data.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel.
