Job Opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant

In collaboration with TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, we are seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join an independent firm of chartered accountants in Canterbury. This position offers a unique chance to grow professionally within a long-established and expanding chartered accountancy practice.

The ideal candidate will work on a mixed portfolio of projects across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT, and audit, serving sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships with turnovers up to £50m+. They will be involved in tasks such as:

  • Preparing final accounts for review by managers.
  • Assisting with audits, with training provided.
  • Creating management accounts.
  • Preparing VAT returns.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Compiling corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Maintaining direct communication with clients.
  • Supporting management and directors in ad-hoc projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be AAT qualified and/or ACCA/ACA part qualified, or qualified by experience. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in practice, along with skills in IRIS, Xero, or Quickbooks, are also beneficial.

Key Requirements

  • AAT qualification and/or ACCA/ACA part qualification, or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an accounting practice.
