Workshop Maintenance Lead (£50,000 - £60,000 per annum)

Gist Limited is seeking an experienced Workshop Maintenance Lead to join our team. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our fleet and maintenance activities.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position requiring a qualified engineer with a background in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • You will have relevant experience in a logistics environment or similar field, with innovative problem-solving skills and a proven track record of implementing new solutions to enhance performance.
  • As a resource management expert, you will oversee tools and equipment management, ensure adequate cover for service delivery, and manage spare parts inventory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and manage preventative maintenance activities to optimise equipment reliability and performance.
  • Investigate service or operational failures to understand causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2-3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project management experience, including budget management and cost forecasting.
