Are you a motivated and skilled Orthoptist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Orthoptist to join our team in Boston. As a Specialist Orthoptist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Orthoptic department.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a range of orthoptic conditions, including adult and paediatric patients. You will also be involved in Shared care Glaucoma services, Visual Processing clinics, Adjustable squint surgery, Orthoptic direct referral patients, as well as Additional needs and Paediatric Low vision clinics.

As part of our team, you will also contribute to audit and teaching of undergraduate orthoptic and medical students. We are committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities to support your professional growth and well-being.

Requirements
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Clinical Tutors Qualification
  • Experience as an Orthoptist

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be based in Boston and will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £29,970 to £44,962 per annum, depending on experience. You will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary: £29,970 to £44,962 a year (Band 5 / £29,970-£36,483, Band 6 / £37,338 - £44,962)
