Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Rheumatology Consultant to join our team at Mile End Hospital site. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic and expanding Rheumatology network, composed of 17 Consultant Rheumatologists across the trust.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general out-patient adult rheumatology care, without out-of-hours on-call commitment. The post also offers the opportunity to develop a sub-specialty interest and engage with existing research programs and clinical trials across Barts Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive specialist care for rheumatology patients, working closely with other professionals to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development of a sub-specialty interest and engage with research programs and clinical trials.
  • Work with other consultants in the department to deliver a comprehensive specialist service.

Requirements

  • MRCP or equivalent qualification.
  • CCST (or within 6 months of date of interview) or on specialist register.
  • GMC registration.
  • Higher Specialist Training in Rheumatology.
  • Audit experience and ability to advise on efficient running of a specialist service.
