About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at Cygnet Hospital Wyke. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to take on new challenges and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess referrals, undertake mental state examinations, and make informed diagnoses.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and other quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings.
  • Contribute to the 1 in 7 telephone on-call rota.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary up to £160,000 per annum, reflecting their experience and expertise. Requirements
  • Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified.
  • Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12, and AC Status.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis.
  • A first-rate communicator with strong assessment and writing skills.
  • Committed to continued professional development and lifelong learning.
