Job Title: Infrastructure Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Data Architect to join our Data Team within Digital Technologies, managing our Data Infrastructure for Energy Infrastructure Services (EIS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage end-to-end data architecture solutions for the EIS Data & Analytical Environment (EDEN).
  • Determine strategic data requirements and create high-level designs according to the Eden Platform.
  • Ensure that the company's data architecture aligns with EIS business needs.
  • Develop and maintain the data integration strategy for EIS.
  • Take ownership of the development of a Cloud architecture and strategies that align with local Data and Analytics priorities and group IT strategy and policies.
  • Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Microsoft Azure.
  • Define and maintain a data integration roadmap and architecture principles that are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure that the data integration solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Maintain data integrity and security at source and in transit, ensuring adherence to regulations and EON security policies and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineers in the team.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration issues, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide governance and oversight over the low-level implementation of projects (especially security and performance).
  • Adhere to GDPR principles, metadata management, and data quality management.
Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in Cloud, Data, and Hosting.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure) and related tasks.
  • At least 3 years of advanced knowledge in Snowflake and Azure Data Integration, API-driven design, DataOps, and implementing data science capabilities.
  • Experience in a continuous deployment and integration environment.
  • Very good practical knowledge of SQL, Python, or data platform management. Experience with ETL Software such as Matillion.
  • Experience working within a multi-partner/vendor environment including offshore teams.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and Data models.
  • Experience in extracting data from APIs.
