Job Title: Propulsion Facility Project Lead Planner

Job Summary:

This role supports the Facilities & Infrastructure team, working within the Project Management Office (PMO). The team delivers capital investment projects with a cumulative annual spend in excess of £30m, across a portfolio of projects serving various business sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning: Develop, integrate, and manage project and programme schedules across the full project lifecycle, ensuring planning excellence, schedule adherence, risk, and change management.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Work alongside delivery Project Managers and construction/technology vendors, escalating critical enablers, key milestones, and dependencies.
  3. Schedule Management: Tailor schedules and their visualization for differing audiences and purposes, while maintaining accuracy of data.
  4. Vendor Management: Work with multiple external vendors, challenging and assisting in the optimization of their inputs.
  5. Reporting: Compile management-level reports and KPIs to support reviews.
  6. Change Management: Demonstrate experience of change management.
Requirements:
  1. Project Management Qualification: PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent.
  2. Planning Software: Advanced level user of key planning and scheduling software, including Microsoft Project.
  3. Gateway Delivery Processes: Working knowledge of gateway delivery processes to aid project lifecycle planning.
  4. Experience: Relevant degree-qualified or equivalent experience, preferred in construction or technology sector. 3+ years planning experience in construction/technology sector Project and Programme delivery.
  5. Skills: Skilled in the 'ground-up' design, gathering, interpretation, integration, and critique of multiple, concurrent plans and activities within a project and/or programme.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Diverse Project Planning Toolsets: Use of diverse project planning toolsets, e.g. Primavera P6, Wrike, Planview.
  2. Agile Delivery Methodologies: Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies and tools, e.g. Jira.
  3. Milestone Processes: Development and/or implementation of milestone processes/tracking.
