About the Regional Health & Safety Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution in Dyce, Aberdeen. The successful candidate will lead and support the company's health and safety strategies and champion ways to improve health and safety standards and awareness across the company.

The Role:

The Regional Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for promoting Gregory Distribution's health and safety policies, monitoring and supporting site performance in terms of health and safety and quality, and advising sites on relevant regulations, best practice, and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To promote Gregory Distribution's health and safety policies by leading and supporting the company's strategies.
  2. Monitor and support site performance in terms of health and safety and quality.
  3. Champion ways to improve health and safety standards and awareness across the company.
  4. Advise sites on relevant regulations, best practice, and legal compliance.
  5. Assist in maintaining the company's ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 accreditations.
  6. Work with site managers and the HSEQ team to deliver continuous improvements in health and safety management processes.
  7. Ensure the adoption of best practice in health and safety management including risk assessments, safe systems of work, employee engagement, monitoring, and training.
  8. Support the development of a strong health and safety culture across the company.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a similar role in a related industry.
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience within an HSE or similar role.
  3. An industry-recognised qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  4. A strong track record of delivering safety performance improvement through behavioural change.
  5. Excellent analytical capability and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £42,750 per annum (dependent on experience).
