Site Reliability Engineer / Contract (Outside of IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Quarterly Team Meetings: We hold regular team meetings to foster collaboration, team building, and company updates, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
  3. System Maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining our systems to agreed service level and availability objectives, utilizing real-time monitoring tools and system-generated metrics.
  4. Instrumentation and Alerting: You will instrument new system metrics and alerts to proactively identify issues and improve performance.
  5. Incident Response: You will respond to monitoring alerts and customer incidents, taking preventative and remedial action to minimize customer impact.
  6. Automation and Efficiency: You will apply automation techniques to reduce manual operations burden and improve overall efficiency.
  7. Technical Expertise: You will have a solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, Linux command line, administration, and shell scripting, as well as monitoring, auto-scaling, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery best practices.
  8. Cloud Security: You will have working knowledge of network security protocols and experience with monitoring tools such as InfluxDB, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  9. AWS Experience: You will have working knowledge of AWS and experience with cloud-based systems.
