Job Title and Salary

EHS Specialist - Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum based on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor local EHS management systems to ensure site compliance with legislative, corporate, and divisional standards.
  • Coordinate the site risk assessment program, ensuring accurate and timely identification of hazards.
  • Review site accident and incident investigations for adequacy and completeness, providing coaching to teams where required.
  • Provide safety and environmental-related training to meet site needs, sourcing and delivering high-quality courses.
  • Collate safety and environmental data for the site, identifying trends and proposing improvement plans.
  • Present EHS risks to the site leadership team, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Notify the division of lost workday accidents, ensuring prompt reporting and response.
  • Collaborate with local HR teams to apply Occupational Health resources effectively, promoting a healthy and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Engineering or scientific degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application in the workplace, backed up by IOSH qualification.
  • NEBOSH certification, demonstrating expertise in occupational health and safety.
