Age UK is seeking a talented individual to support our Orpington store as an Assistant Manager.

As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting our team of Sales Assistants and volunteers, ensuring customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Shop Manager to achieve store goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of volunteers and staff, providing guidance and coaching as needed
  • Manage stock and inventory, ensuring efficient storage and display
  • Develop and implement effective customer service strategies
  • Monitor and maintain store appearance, adhering to Age UK standards
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and development of store staff

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with the Shop Manager
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • IT literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to lift and carry bags of stock up to 10kg's
