The Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Obesity Specialist Dietitian to join our team at King's College Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to take on a leadership role in our obesity specialist dietetics service.

About the Job

This is a Band 7 post, fixed-term to cover a career break. You will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of dietetic care for patients under our tier 4 obesity service. This includes working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary bariatric surgery and obesity team to deliver expert advice and guidance to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualised dietetic treatment plans for patients
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to other members of the team
  • Conducting clinical audits and evaluating patient progress
  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe practice and high-quality patient care

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/Postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and HCPC registration
  • Significant previous experience in obesity management in dietetics, including knowledge of dietetics within the NHS and experience of undertaking clinical audit and multidisciplinary team working
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others

Salary and Benefits
