Mechanical Operations Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day mechanical operations in Rugby. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing budgets and leading teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the execution of mechanical engineering and maintenance work to achieve high plant reliability standards.
- Formulate and implement effective maintenance strategies in collaboration with the maintenance management team.
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety protocols.
- Cooperate with the planning department to guarantee the availability of necessary resources.
- Develop and manage the section mechanical team to drive productivity, motivation, and discipline.
- Implement and supervise preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
- Participate in the planning and coordination of the annual plant shutdown to maintain plant safety and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor and control expenses in the relevant area.
- Assist the Mechanical Engineer in preparing the plant mechanical maintenance budget.
- Verify that the mechanical team adheres to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Coordinator or Maintenance Team Leader (Essential)
- Track record of budget management
- Apprenticeship or Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with computer systems
Salary and Benefits
The position offers a competitive annual salary of 50-55k based on experience.
