Support Worker for Young Adult with Brain Injury

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and patient Support Worker to join our team and provide care and support to a young adult with brain injury and learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with complex needs and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany and ensure the safety of the individual in the community and around the home
- Support the individual to pursue their goals and interests
- Work collaboratively with the individual's parents, therapists, and Case Manager to ensure they receive the necessary support
- Provide practical assistance with daily tasks and activities
- Respect the individual's cultural beliefs and practices
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with brain injury and learning difficulties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, tact, and understanding when working with individuals with complex needs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights away
