About the Role

The Security Architect is a key consulting role at PA Consulting, working with clients across the private and public sectors to define security architectures and solutions that meet their business requirements and risks.

This role will allow you to combine your expertise in information security, solution architecture, and business advice to define secure solutions in challenging environments. You will have the opportunity to be creative in providing clients with innovative security approaches and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the end-to-end security architecture and solution for a project or programme, creating conceptual, logical, and implementation views to align with business needs.
  • Work on delivering leading-edge solutions in identity management, network and infrastructure protection, cloud security, security monitoring, network segregation, and more, to defend against advanced threats and capable threat actors.
  • Review the current state of clients' security measures and recommend and implement enhancements.
  • Interpret complex business and technical issues to create a viable solution.
  • Work on projects with high strategic impact, setting a strategy that can be used in the long term and across the breadth of the organisation.
  • Design secure system architectures through the application of patterns and principles, to meet user needs while managing business and security risks.
  • Apply innovative security architecture solutions to problems and be able to justify and communicate design decisions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have academic excellence backed by sound and broad information security knowledge, relevant qualifications (CISSP, CISM, IISP/CCP, TOGAF, SABSA), and a track-record delivering security solutions for large-scale infrastructure or integration programmes.
