Renewable Technology Project Manager

This role presents a unique opportunity to oversee multiple renewable technologies and work on projects in the UK and other European countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Development, Investment & Execution, and external advisors, to assess potential asset acquisitions, focusing on grid connection due diligence.
  • Maintain active engagement with grid connection stakeholders throughout project development phases.
  • Ensure grid connection activities align with project timelines by working closely with EPC, Project Delivery, and Development teams.
  • Liaise with Asset Management to ensure ongoing compliance with grid connection agreements and assist in coordinating grid maintenance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date on grid connection policy and regulations at transmission and distribution levels within GB and communicate relevant updates within the organization.
Candidate Profile:
  • Deep knowledge of the GB grid connection process, including grid codes and technical standards for connecting generation assets.
  • Extensive experience managing grid connection processes in the UK, covering all stages from application to operation.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • A proven background in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on project development (at least 5-10 years of experience).
  • Relevant degree-level qualification and strong analytical skills to navigate commercial and regulatory challenges.
  • An understanding of power systems, including network planning, electrical design, load flow analysis, and fault level calculations.
  • Keen interest in the energy investment sector and broader energy market trends.
  • Integrity, honesty, and a flexible attitude.
Salary: £70,000 per annumLocation: UK

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the GB grid connection process and extensive experience managing grid connection processes in the UK. A proven background in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on project development, is essential. The salary for this role is approximately £70,000 per annum.
