We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Recovery Specialist to join our team at Michael Page (UK) as an Apprentice Credit Controller. This exciting role offers the chance to work with a well-established retail organisation, based in Potters Bar, on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage debt recovery processes efficiently and effectively
  • Liaise with clients to resolve payment issues promptly
  • Prepare and present accurate debt reports to management
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting & Finance team
  • Evaluate and develop strategies to improve collection rates and reduce bad debt
  • Facilitate client meetings to discuss and resolve outstanding payments

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in debt management and financial processes
  • Intermediate Excel skills with expertise in pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting
  • Able to produce accurate and timely reconciliations of debtor and sales ledger accounts
  • Prior experience dealing with complex ledgers and resolving payment disputes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong customer relationships
