Exciting Opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is delighted to represent a leading multinational company seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team in Belfast.

This is a fantastic opportunity to move into an in-house role with an employer of choice in Northern Ireland. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative team within a legal hub in Belfast.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support and advice on a range of commercial matters, focusing on digital and technology-related projects.
  • Advise on regulatory and compliance issues affecting digital and technology projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal risks are identified and managed effectively.
  • Support the development and implementation of digital strategies and initiatives.
  • Handle disputes and litigation related to commercial and digital matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting digital and technology sectors.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on legal and compliance issues for the team.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in Northern Ireland or England and Wales as a solicitor or barrister.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in commercial law, ideally with a focus on digital and technology sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and technology.
