Medlock Partners Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the group consolidation process and preparing Group consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Group Consolidation and Financial Reporting: Manage the group consolidation process, prepare Group consolidated financial statements, and ensure IFRS compliance.
  • Cashflow Modelling and Board Papers: Conduct cashflow modelling and draft board papers for the audit committee on key accounting areas.
  • External Auditor Liaison: Serve as the main contact for external auditors, ensuring timely information flow.
  • Consolidated Board Packs: Prepare consolidated monthly board packs, including balance sheet and cashflow analysis.
  • Accounting Policies: Draft group accounting policies related to new and amended standards.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Engage in ad hoc project work to support the business.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • IFRS Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS standards; experience with auditing or preparing statutory accounts is desirable.
  • Group Consolidations: Practical experience or strong understanding of group consolidations.
  • Analytical and Technical Skills: Analytical with high attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Clear communicator, able to present complex data understandably; highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
