Academic Support Specialist

Dunbar Education, a leading educational recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant community in Watford.
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
About the RoleThis role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with special educational needs, providing tailored assistance to ensure their academic and emotional growth.
- Support students with SEN through individualised and group instruction, adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with SENCOs and school staff to develop personalised learning plans and interventions.
- Implement sensory integration techniques and therapeutic strategies as required.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting students' academic and social development.
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent are advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
