About the Role

The Content Author will be responsible for producing high-quality assessment materials that align with the subject specification. This will involve working closely with subject matter experts to ensure that the materials are accurate, relevant, and meet the needs of learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the subject matter and assessment criteria.
  • Produce error-free, factually accurate assessments that meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure that the materials are relevant and meet the needs of learners.
  • Adhere to the production schedules and turnaround requests, keeping Pearson informed of your availability which could affect deadlines.
  • Ensure that all materials are appropriate to the specific range of ability and will result in good discrimination and differentiation at all levels that it is designed to test.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the specific content area (assessments and curriculum development).
  • Proven ability to provide and co-ordinate training.
  • Proven track record of leading quality assurance activities.

Experience and Qualifications

As a representative of the company, you will be expected to have experience in, or be able to demonstrate the ability of the following:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the specific content area (assessments and curriculum development).
  • Proven ability to provide and co-ordinate training.
  • Proven track record of leading quality assurance activities.

Vocational Qualifications

  • A minimum of one full academic year of teaching experience in the relevant subject area/sector within the last 8 years and/or extensive knowledge and experience in Pearson assessment, quality, and processes and national standards within the last 5 years.
  • A UK recognised teaching qualification.
