About the Role

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Community Health Nurse to join our Health Visiting team. As a Community Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive Health Visiting service to children, young people, and families within a designated locality population in Croydon.

Main Responsibilities

  • To assist the Health Visiting teams in delivering a family-centered Healthy Child Programme within a designated locality.
  • To provide support and ongoing assessment to children aged 0-5 years and their families as delegated by Health Visitor/Team Leader, working in partnership with local agencies.
  • To support the Health Visiting team in providing a comprehensive Health Visiting service to children, young people, and families within a designated locality population in Croydon.

Requirements

  • NNEB, BTEC level 3, or CACHE qualification.
  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Experience in a relevant area.
  • Safeguarding training.
  • Awareness of community services.
  • Experience in multi-agency working.

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of normal child development and behavior.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours if necessary.
