Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working order and report any defects or issues to the maintenance team.
  • Load and unload goods in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with customers.
  • Deliver goods to customers in accordance with agreed schedules and deadlines, maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as vehicle maintenance, safety procedures, and customer service.

Requirements:

  • C+E driving license with a valid DigiTacho and CPC.
  • Previous experience as a Class 1 HGV driver, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 18kg and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
