Senior Associate - Financial Services Regulatory Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Financial Services Regulatory team in London. This role focuses on FinTech, payments & digital assets practice and requires excellent communication and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years PQE experience in Fintech, payments, e-money or digital asset regulation, or investment services regulation & financial market infrastructure. Estimated salary: £140K - £165K + benefits & bonus.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer to lead on high-profile regulatory projects and manage junior team members. You will work closely with clients to understand their regulatory requirements and provide expert advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects for clients, focusing on regulatory aspects for FinTech, payments, e-money and digital assets.
  • Manage junior resources, providing guidance and support in complex regulatory matters.
  • Oversee applications to the FCA, advising clients on the regulatory requirements for their operations in the UK.
  • Conduct cross-border surveys and advise on accompanying rules and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including regulatory advice, authorisation applications, and compliance frameworks.
  • Engage with financial market infrastructure matters, providing advice where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualified UK lawyer with 5 years PQE experience.
  • Experience of Fintech, payments, e-money or digital asset regulation, or investment services regulation & financial market infrastructure.
