Job Title: Chef de Partie



Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a 13th-century hotel in the UK. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef in food preparation, coordinating banqueting events, and providing support to the sales and marketing team.



Main Responsibilities:




  2. Assist and support the head chef in food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
  3. Coordinate banqueting events, working closely with the banquet manager to deliver exceptional service and culinary experiences.
  4. Provide support to the sales and marketing team, helping to promote our hotel's culinary offerings and events.
  5. Be involved in the training of lower-cadre staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop the skills of our team members.
  6. Help with menu planning, ensuring our dishes are innovative, delicious, and appealing to our guests.
  7. Oversee breakfast preparation and service, ensuring a seamless and efficient start to the day for our guests.
  8. Prepare starters and vegetables to the highest standards, using only the freshest ingredients and adhering to our hotel's high culinary standards.
  9. Manage and supervise the commis chefs who work under you, providing guidance, support, and feedback to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  10. Ensuring that food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards, and that all kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  11. Enforce safety, health, and hygiene standards in the kitchen, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our guests and staff.
  12. Troubleshoot any problems that may arise in the kitchen, thinking on your feet and finding creative solutions to any challenges that arise.
  13. Ensure that food is delivered to our guests in a timely manner, meeting our high standards of quality and service.


Essential Criteria:




  2. Previous experience of working as a Chef de Partie in at least one Rosette-standard establishment.
