Job Description

As an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical systems of a busy shopping centre in Essex. This is a full-time permanent position based on site, offering a unique opportunity to work with a variety of equipment and systems.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the optimum performance of the shopping centre's electrical systems, carrying out repairs and maintenance as scheduled by the Computer Aided Facility Management System. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and addressing any maintenance issues, adhering to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as per the CAFM programme
  • Test electrical systems against engineering standards to ensure effectiveness and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with NICEIC certification and electrical safety rules
  • Inspect services and deal with callouts/repairs as required
  • Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance – Electrical
  • IET 18th Edition
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience as an electrician, preferably in a maintenance capacity
  • IOSH Safety Passport
  • IT system literacy
