We are seeking a highly skilled RCV Maintenance and Repair Expert to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of refuse collection vehicles (RCVs) and light commercial vehicles.

**Estimated Salary:** £40,000 - £50,000 per year, based on location and experience.

About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced RCV Maintenance and Repair Expert to join our team. You will work closely with our Workshop Manager to ensure that all RCVs and light commercial vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, adhering to health and safety regulations and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair RCVs and light commercial vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults using technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Manager to obtain necessary parts and equipment.
  • Ensure all job cards and service sheets are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the workshop area.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent.
  • Class C Licence (preferably with trailer entitlement).
  • IRTEC Licence and/or waste/RCV vehicle experience desirable.
