Job Purpose:

Deliver a high-quality tenancy management service to tenants, ensuring effective tenancy enforcement, sustainment, and tenant participation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake tenancy management duties, including tenancy creation, amendment, enforcement, sustainability, and tenant participation.
  2. Be the primary contact between tenants and the Council for tenancy processes, including sign-up, audits, education, involvement, and sustainment.
  3. Ensure the effective use of community centres and other community facilities in line with legislation and guidance.
  4. Record and action service requests using the Council's specific systems.
  5. Support tenant involvement in housing and community activities.
  6. Investigate and resolve tenancy breaches, making recommendations to the Senior Housing Officer.
  7. Maintain and update information systems, producing reports as requested.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a housing officer-related field is essential.
  • Understanding of housing laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in using housing management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in housing or a related discipline are a plus.
