Job Title: Environmental Systems Manager

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Systems Manager to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As an Environmental Systems Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Transmission Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 14001:2015, and leading on environmental performance metrics.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Systems Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering a safe and reliable electricity supply while reducing our environmental impact. As an Environmental Systems Manager, you will work closely with our Transmission team to develop and implement effective environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Transmission EMS, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead on environmental performance metrics, ensuring targets are monitored and reported on effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Transmission team to develop and implement effective environmental management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience in environmental management systems and ISO 14001:2015.
  • Experience in leading on environmental performance metrics and compliance reporting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
