Job Description:

The Befriender 'Out and About' Volunteer will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals we support in Redhill by being a reliable companion for attending activities they enjoy participating in. These may include going for a walk, attending a concert, visiting the cinema, or engaging in social activities like going out for coffee or a meal.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • To be kind, empathetic, and friendly
  • To possess a good sense of humour and enjoy chatting
  • To be punctual and reliable
  • To handle information confidentially, in line with our data protection procedures
  • To assist when necessary with sighted guide/orientation
