The Role

We are seeking an experienced Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Hilltop House, Bury St Edmunds. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers with physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care and support, encouraging independence and promoting active support for all customers
  • Support with washing, dressing, bathing, and hygiene tasks
  • Administer medication
  • Assist with shopping, cleaning, and laundry tasks
  • Help arrange and attend appointments with healthcare professionals
  • Promote positive culture through social engagement and preventing isolation
  • Record accurate and up-to-date information
  • Ensure safe practices and undertake risk assessments

Requirements

  • Prior experience in delivering personal care is desirable
  • A kind and caring nature
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing customer needs
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
