About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant. This role requires a strong ability to connect with students who have experienced trauma and face various challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to deliver effective support strategies
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable youth or students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
