Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HGV Maintenance Technician to join our team in Droitwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in compliance with legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to a test centre.
  • Record vehicle defects and keep accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
  • Repair minor accident damage.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis.
  • Seek solutions to problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
  • A positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • An effective team member who can work on their own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £19.28 per hour, Monday to Friday, with overtime rates after 47.5 hours per week of £24.10 and enhanced rates on Saturday and Sunday. This role offers opportunities for career growth and development within our busy depot.

Working Hours:

The working hours for this role will be divided into two shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00.
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00 - 18:00.
