Senior Occupational Therapy Role at Kings College Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to lead our acute specialist and community service teams. As a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in various settings, including acute medicine, amputees & surgery, community intermediate care, and critical care.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills. You will be responsible for supervising occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, technicians, and students, as well as developing services and standards according to occupational therapy objectives.

We offer a competitive salary of £44,806 - £53,134 per annum, inclusive of HCAS. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive benefits such as flexible working arrangements, training and development opportunities, and access to our employee assistance program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To identify, prioritize, and manage patients who require occupational therapy input.
  • To assess and treat patients with complex needs who would benefit from a coordinated multidisciplinary assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge services.
  • To be competent in the administration of specific occupational therapy assessments of motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, psychosocial, and occupational areas.
  • To develop and implement remedial and preventative treatment programs addressing motor, sensory, cognitive, perceptual, psychological, and occupational areas.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy (Dip RCOT or BSc OT).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Member of Professional Body (RCOT).
  • Experience of working as a Band 5 OT in a physical setting.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
