Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Management

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a Medicines Management role. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines within our healthcare setting.

About the Role:
  • Provide medicines management services to acute wards and participate in dispensary sessions.
  • Work closely with Senior Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists to assist in the daily running of the Medicines Management ward-based service.
  • Use pharmacy and other computer systems to carry out tasks in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring a safe and efficient pharmacy service.
  • Supply medication suitably labelled for discharge, including checking suitability of patient's own medication.
  • Transcribe drug histories or reconciled drug charts to the 'Discharge notification' section on or during admission.
  • Accurately check the dispensing of other members of the department.
  • Communicate accurate information to patients, carers, members of pharmacy and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NHS Hospital experience.
  • ACT and MM qualification.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and work well with the team.
  • Reliable.
