About the Job

We are looking for a skilled Development Director to join our team and help drive our growth. As a key member of the Leadership team, you will be responsible for building and executing a development strategy that enhances our funding base and identifies new opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current donors, stakeholders, and potential supporters
  • Cultivate new funding sources and partnerships to expand our reach and resources
  • Promote the organization's mission, vision, and goals through effective communication and representation
  • Travel to school sites to gather insights and share stories of our students' successes
  • Analyze data and create compelling narratives to support development initiatives
  • Manage grants databases, reporting schedules, and seek out new funding opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to craft grant proposals and submit applications
  • Identify and pursue local, state, and federal funding opportunities
  • Foster new partnerships with community organizations, corporations, and educational institutions
  • Coordinate and execute fundraising events, securing sponsorships and managing logistics
  • Serve as the primary liaison for funding, donation, and event-related inquiries
What We're Looking For
  • At least 5 years of experience in development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Successful completion of required background checks and clearances to work with youth in public schools

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
