Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Operator to join our night shift team at SPEQ RECRUITMENT LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex manufacturing equipment, ensuring efficient production processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, with experience in electrical or mechanical engineering. Excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues.

About the Job

  • Operate and maintain complex manufacturing equipment during night shifts, adhering to quality standards.
  • Perform PPM tasks to prevent downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults, minimizing downtime and staying within planned repair costs.
  • Monitor in-process quality and resolve issues promptly to prevent product holds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Covering breaks, operating production machinery, assembling products, and handling pallet release duties.
  • Performing PPM and refurbishing offline machinery.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical faults.
  • Ensuring all manufacturing equipment is set up to meet production standards.
  • Monitoring in-process quality and resolving issues to prevent product holds.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., C&G, HND) or a time-served apprenticeship.
  • Experience in high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong maintenance and fault-finding skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
