Procurement Analyst Opportunity

Robert Walters Operations Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join the Procurement team in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in managing supplier relationships, analysing spend data, and supporting procurement strategies to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Analyse data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier performance.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with various departments including Finance, Operations, Marketing and Legal to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
  • Market Research and Evaluation: Conduct market research to evaluate potential suppliers and their capabilities.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and recommendations for management.
  • Negotiations and Supplier Management: Support negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Certifications: CIPS, MCIPS or working towards is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience working as a Procurement Analyst.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends is a plus.

This role is based in the West Midlands and commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Stafford and Worcester as the company operates a flexible working policy.
