About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN teaching assistant to join our team at a warm and welcoming primary school in Worthing, West Sussex. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for helping students with special educational needs, backed by relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Key Stage 1 and 2 students with various needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
  • Provide one-on-one and group assistance to help students participate fully in classroom activities.
  • Develop and implement adaptable teaching methods to suit the individual needs of each student.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all learners.
Requirements
  • Passionate about SEN support and committed to enhancing the educational experience of children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Empathetic and supportive approach, understanding the unique challenges faced by SEN students.
  • Ability to tailor instructional techniques to suit the individual needs of each student.
