Heavy Goods Vehicle Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Lancashire, UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing fleet repairs and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and maintain the HGV fleet to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the Test Centre.
- Record vehicle defects and maintain detailed, accurate records of all work performed on each vehicle.
- Repair minor accident damage and conduct fault diagnosis to identify mechanical issues.
- Proactively seek and implement solutions to mechanical problems.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining communication with stakeholders and addressing any vehicle-related concerns.
- Previous experience in a similar HGV technician or mechanical role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Positive, self-motivated attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, solutions-driven attitude towards work.
- Commercial experience working with HGVs is essential.
- A full HGV C+E licence is required.
- City & Guilds part 1, 2, & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience within the commercial vehicle industry.
