Job Description

Job Title: Contract Director - Smart Meter Network

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Director to join our team at Data Communications Company. As a Contract Director, you will be responsible for managing and negotiating complex contracts with suppliers, ensuring that the company receives the best value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Manage and negotiate complex contracts with suppliers, ensuring that the company receives the best value for money.
  • Contract Governance: Ensure that contractual governance routines are undertaken in accordance with the relevant provisions in the contracts/agreements.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead and negotiate on all contracts change and project requests, covering extensions of >£10m and delivery of 30 changes a year.
  • Contract Disputes: Manage contract disputes and oversee contract amendment processes.
  • Contract Closeout: Lead the contract closeout process, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex contracts and relationships with suppliers.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, law, or engineering.
