£80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.


Job Description:

The Senior Securities Lawyer will be responsible for managing trades, drafting securities-related documentation, and advising on transactional matters.

  • Managing trades includes reviewing drafts, preparing execution versions, drafting relevant documents, and supporting colleagues and the London MTN desk with any queries.
  • Working on repackaging trades involves tasks such as requesting ISINs, and reviewing drafts.

Key responsibilities include providing transaction-related administrative assistance, supporting and coordinating due diligence processes, managing reputational and conduct risk, and providing legal advice or support in relation to various projects and initiatives.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified solicitor or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience gained working in a City Law firm or an in-house legal team with a relevant skill set.
  • At least 1 year of post-qualification work experience.
  • Strong general knowledge of English securities law and regulation, as well as a working knowledge of commercial law and an appreciation of how other legal systems operate.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates confidence and is adept at negotiating and influencing others.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong levels of business understanding and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly articulate and able to apply new skills effectively.

Location:

This role is based in London, UK, and requires the successful candidate to relocate to this location.
